Early 1900s Antique Bashofu Robe, Kimono of Okinawa

This authentic Bashofu Kimono was made in Okinawa (Ryusou) Ryukyu Island during the early 1900s.  Bashofu is the Japanese craft of making cloth from banana fiber tradition to Okinawan.  

Approximately year made: early 1900s, Meiji

MATERIAL: bashofu fiber, vintage

CONDITION:  Moderate used and washed Vintage condition.  It is an old item.

A note for antique & vintage items from Japan, because it is from long ago, there could be flaws that might not be visible in the pictures or overlooked, such as scratches, stains, fabric rips, loose thread, small holes, and incompletion, etc. Please purchase with understanding and acceptance of the imperfection. if you have any questions, please ask. -Hand-wash separately by itself & gently with cold to warm water & mild detergent if needed, and then hang in the shadow to dry. If it is not too dirty, you can clean it just with water. Clean only when necessary.
